“Delighted to announce “AMALA” a documentary film is all set to world premiere in October this year in Dharamsala, India. And thrilled to share the news of official selection in the competition section of “Raleigh film and art festival” US. We would like to thank every single person and organisation who despite the crazy years and lockdown, came together and made this film possible.” - Geleck Pasang
This is a film about an extraordinary mother, Ama Jetsun Pema, who looked after over 60 thousand Tibetan children’s wellbeing after the loss of her own home following the brutal invasion of Tibet by Communist China in 1959. This film is also about honouring the compassionate loving kindness of her generation who gave up their own personal endeavours for the benefit of ‘Tibet’s lost generation’ under the leadership and guidance of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
